Keys to the environmental elements that influence our health:
Total Coliform Bacteria in drinking water is a result of insufficient water treatment, cracked distribution pipes, or poorly-sealed well head, and indicates that the water may be contaminated.
Fecal Coliform Bacteria are a sub-group of the Total Coliform Bacteria. The presence of these bacteria indicates that your well is contaminated with feces or sewage and has the potential to to cause disease.
Escherichia Coli (E-coli) is a sub-group of the Fecal Coliform Group. The presence of this organism indicates fecal contamination of your water well and a high risk for illness from disease-causing organisms.
